The world’s first climate neutral rye bread

Danish climate-neutral food is on its way to consumers. In a new project, partners from across the food value chain will join forces to produce the first climate-neutral food without the use of carbon credits. Specifically, the world’s first climate-neutral rye bread will be baked.

Skovgaard Energy participates with green fertilizer from ptx-produced ammonia.

The partners in the project are: COOP, Kohberg, Valsemøllen, Aarhus University, Stiesdal SkyClean, Skovgaard Energi, BASF, Bureau Veritas, Fjordland, Innovation Center for Organic Agriculture and SEGES Innovation.

The project is supported by the Danish Agricultural Agency’s Green Development and Demonstration Program.
